PSPIService.exe 는
코렐페인트샵 프로 X 10.03 부터(아마도) 자동설치되는, 불법복제방지 Protexis Licensing Service 프로그램입니다.
동의없이 자동 설치되는 점과, 코렐페인트샵 을 사용하지 않아도~ 또는 코렐페인트샵을 Uninstall 해도, 남아 있게 된 다는 점에서, 논란이 있습니다.

저는 정품시디가 2개 있어서, 그냥 귀챦아서 해제하고 씁니다.

2개 띄워도 별로 나쁠 건 없습니다.
- Remove the following registry entry:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesProtexisLicensing]
- Reboot your computer.
- Delete the following files:
%windir%System32PSIService.exe
%windir%System32PSIKey.exe
If you want to keep the service installed, but would like to keep it
on standby for use only when running software that uses it, you can use
the following process to keep it off until you need it.
These instructions are slightly different depending on whether the licensing service is version 1 or version 2.
Protexis Licensing Service Version 1
- Open Services either from the control panel or clicking on the start menu and typing services.msc and pressing enter.
- Locate ProtexisLicensing or Protexis Licensing service.
- Stop the service and then set the Startup Type to Disabled.
- Bowse to %SystemDrive%WindowsSystem32 folder.
- Copy original PSIKey.dll to program folder of application that relies on Protexis, e.g. %SystemDrive%Program FilesCorelCorel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI.
- Rename PsiClient.dll to PsiClient.bak, or simply delete it.
- Rename PSIKey.dll to PsiClient.dll
- Rename PSIService.exe to PSIService.bak, or simply delete it.
Protexis Licensing Service Version 2
If you Protexis DRM softare installed on your system is of version 2, follow these steps instead:
- Open Services either from the control panel or clicking on the start menu and typing services.msc and pressing enter.
- Locate Protexis Licensing V2 service. Stop the service and then set the Startup Type to Disabled.
- Bowse to %SystemDrive%Program FilesCommon FilesProtexisLicense Service folder.
- Copy original PSIKey_2.dll to program folder of application that
relies on Protexis, e.g. %SystemDrive%Program FilesCorelCorel Paint Shop
Pro Photo X2.
- Rename PsiClient.dll to PsiClient.bak, or simply delete it.
- Rename PSIKey_2.dll to PsiClient.dll
- Rename PSIService_2.exe to PSIService_2.bak, or simply delete it.
